The Journey of Creating an Honesty Box for our Fresh Quail Eggs

With so many beautiful little eggs coming from our happy quails, we felt it was time to share them with our local community.

The idea for an honesty box came naturally—something simple, trust-based, and heartfelt. Our first step was to design a setup that felt welcoming and easy to spot, without disrupting the peaceful charm of the street. We wanted it to catch the eye, but still blend in with the relaxed, rural atmosphere around us.

Our amazing volunteers got to work, building a lovely little egg house and painting it a soft, cheerful blue. It’s just the right balance of sweet and subtle—and we think it suits our quails perfectly.

To add a special touch we found a small, secure blue safe for payments complete a neatly written note inside explaining the prices and our egg box return policy. We also added a handmade sign to let our neighbors know the honesty box was freshly stocked with delicious quail eggs!

Finally focused on the final details: a dedicated page on our website featuring beautiful decorations made from quail eggshells plus a few of our favorite recipes that showcase the rich flavor of our farm-fresh eggs.

This project has been a true joy to create, and we hope our neighbors enjoy the honesty box as much as we enjoyed bringing it to life.
