Dealing with “being different” in a small town (Monica Pischetola)
Living in a small town doesn’t make you conscious at all of other realities. You only know what surrounds you: same people, same places...
"The Empty Lands" is a new Solidarity project of Cherry.
In this project, Dutch youngsters write columns about their experience as country-siders: what challenges do they face, what is beautiful there, how do they face the differences compared to a town or a city, first travel or experience abroad, and so on. They will be writing these interesting columns for a year long and some of them will be published in local magazines, newspapers or other media channels.
These are not only pieces of text, or words put together, these are pieces of heart that each youngster decided to open to the world about their lives.
